Building Bridges in Berlin

Sarah Rodehorst, CEO of Onwards HR presenting during SAP.iO Demo Day

Recently, I had the honor of presenting at the SAP.iO Foundry Berlin Future of Work program. After evaluating more than 90 startups from 22 countries with 25 experts from within and outside of SAP, Onwards HR was chosen to present our innovative solution to a most impressive audience. Was I nervous? Just a little.

The support that we recognize from being part of SAP’s accelerator program is substantial. Having been chosen as one of the seven participating startups, Onwards HR receives mentorship from SAP executives and leading industry experts from Capgemini, as well as access to SAP technology, APIs and opportunities to collaborate with SAP customers. The learning that we take away from these valuable interactions benefits all of our customers, as we continually invest in product enhancements that streamline employee separations while providing advanced analytics to support DEI and talent strategies.

SAP has generously helped hundreds of startups like us. Their technical and go-to-market support has brought Onwards HR into a curated ecosystem – the SAP Store - where our offerings can be easily accessed and deployed by SAP customers.

As organizations navigate the post-pandemic world, the future of work continues to be a top priority,” said Meg Bear, President & Chief Product Officer at SAP SuccessFactors. “To make sure we continue to help customers put people at the center of every aspect of work, we constantly expand our ecosystem with new and exciting startup partners.”

By now, you’re probably wondering about the title of this blog post. It was my first trip to Berlin and, in playing tourist, I was surprised to learn that it’s nine times bigger than Paris. It’s also home to the world’s longest beer garden. Surprisingly, it has more bridges than Venice – 1,700 at last count. That part really resonated with me. The SAP.iO Foundry program builds a network of bridges for organizations such as Onwards HR, which has enabled us to help our clients build bridges to the future of work. We’re excited to deliver on that promise and honored to be part of this amazing program.

Bis bald!
